Nominee
Companies are local companies set up solely for the purpose of acting as
nominee shareholders and trustees. These companies may not function
unless and until they are licensed by the Malta Financial Services Centre
to act in the aforesaid capacities.
Nominee
Companies are assigned the duty and responsibility, subject to very severe
penalties for breach of law, to ascertain that their clients refrain from
carrying on activities that would, in any way, be detrimental to the interests
of Malta. Nominee Companies are set up and managed by persons such
as lawyers and accountants, who have attained a certain level of ability
and who by reason of their profession can give a certain degree of responsibility
and integrity. |
